After many years of trying (and not being able to because of logistics), this year has seen the first AIPP Qld Epson Professional Photograph Awards Exhibition at Foto Frenzy Photography Centre. This is such an exciting exhibition as, for the first time, each of the categories’ winning photographs, the book, highest scoring print and Print Handlers’ Choice award photograph are hanging together. These are the photographs/book the judges viewed and scored, not replicas.
This is exciting as the quality is exquisite. The delicately printed photographs that won Richard Muldoon not only his much sort after Qld Landscape Photographer of the Year but also the Epson Signature Worthy Award and the overall title of 2015 AIPP Qld Professional Photographer of the Year, are hanging on the walls of Foto Frenzy to admire in person.
So many of our category-winning photographers were able to attend the Opening Night and we were excited to see them at the there. Alex Huang, winner of the 2015 AIPP Travel Photographer of the Year, was overseas when his win was announced at the Gala Dinner so it was a pleasure to be able to present him with his trophy.
